The staff of CTV Moncton, their friends and family coordinate with CTV Halifax volunteers to produce a single Christmas Daddies program, originating from the CTV studios in Halifax with live segments from the CTV studios in Moncton. The result is a talent-packed program seen by viewers in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Mainland Nova Scotia.
The seven-hour telethon, a Maritime tradition since 1964, benefits less fortunate children throughout the region. Funds raised are returned to the area from which they originated and are distributed throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island by the Salvation Army.
Donations made to Christmas Daddies are tax deductible and official charitable tax receipts are issued by The Salvation Army and are typically mailed in mid-February each year.
